Plastic sprues for the kit of the Bf 109 G-6 fighter in its early production form, 1:48 scale. The OVERTREES build, that is without decals, photo-etched parts, masks and instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bf 109 G-6 is the most numerously built form of the German fighter of the Second World War. Its engine was a liquid-cooled inverted V12, and above it a pair of heavy machine guns whose magazines called for conspicuous bulges on the engine cowling. It is precisely by these that the G-6 is recognized at a glance. The version was built for a long time and during that time the machines gradually changed in detail; the package is aimed at the early production form.
The OVERTREES designation is carried by a package in which you will find the plastic sprues from the kit alone. Decals, photo-etched parts, masks and instructions are not enclosed. It makes sense when you know the corresponding kit and want to build another machine, whether from decals you have left over or from a sheet obtained separately.
Without instructions the build relies on the documentation for the corresponding kit, so have it ready beforehand. Cut the parts off a little away from the gate and sand the remainder, so that the surface detail stays untouched. Wash and degrease the plastic before painting. The mottled camouflage on the sides of the fuselage is best sprayed with thinned paint and low pressure, so that the transitions stay soft.
The package is for modelers who build German fighters in a larger series or who have their own stock of markings. The contents are plastic sprues only; decals, photo-etched parts, masks, instructions, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
