The plastic parts alone of the Bf 109 G-2 kit in 1:48 scale from the OVERTREES line. A package without decals, accessories and instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic parts for building the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-2 fighter in 1:48 scale. OVERTREES is the designation of the Eduard line in which the sprues with the plastic parts are sold on their own, without the rest of the contents of the boxed issue.
The G version, for which the name Gustav took hold, came about by fitting a more powerful inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 605 into an airframe derived from the earlier F series. The G-2 is among the first production Gustavs and, against the later machines, it still has a smooth cowling without the characteristic bulges, which appeared only with the larger machine guns above the engine. It is exactly this slender silhouette that makes the early version a handsome piece among the Gustavs.
The package is for the modeler who does not need the rest of the contents of the boxed issue: either he has already built one kit and wants another airframe for the collection, or he builds from his own decals and accessories. The rest of the box contents is therefore not part of it.
Instructions are usually not in the package of this line, so obtain them beforehand from the manufacturer against the manufacturer's part number. Cut the parts off with nippers a little away from the part and level the remainder of the gate with a file. Wash and degrease the sprues before painting, because on the smooth surface of the cowling every greasy mark shows. The package holds plastic parts only. Decals, accessories, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
