Romanian Second World War jerry cans in the Pattern 1 form, 1:35 scale. An accessory for models of military vehicles and for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
During the Second World War the Romanian army fought on the Eastern Front, and its vehicles shared the fate of all units far from the rear: the supply of fuel had to travel with the vehicle. Sheet metal cans were therefore carried in racks on the sides, on the fenders and loose on the bed. The designation Pattern 1 distinguishes a particular form of the container within the manufacturer's range.
The cans are separate parts in 1:35 scale which you place around a model to your own idea. It is exactly this kind of small load that decides whether a finished vehicle reads as an inhabited machine or as a cleanly built kit. It serves just as well in a diorama: at a field refueling point, on a heap of supplies or in the bed of a truck. The number of pieces in the package is not given by the product name.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder off, so that the edges of the container stay sharp. Wash and degrease the parts before painting; choose the glue according to the material of the parts and check the procedure in the manufacturer's instructions. When painting, leave the load mismatched: a few pieces rubbed back to bare metal, others dusty, one freshly painted. A dark wash into the recesses and a dry brush along the edges give a small part the depth it would not otherwise have.
For builders of Eastern Front vehicles in 1:35 scale and for building dioramas. The vehicle model, paints and glue are not included in the box, unless stated otherwise.
