Sidewalk surfaces with stone curbs in 1:160 scale, that is in N gauge. The surface consists of a regular pattern of square tiles of the kind still laid in towns and villages today. The curb is part of the section, thanks to which the sidewalk stands out against the roadway and the scene gets the relief in height that you otherwise have to add laboriously from strips of plastic.
Regular square slab paving looks clean and modern, so it suits newer building, housing estates, shops, bus stops and industrial sites. On an N gauge layout it completes the surroundings of a station and the station forecourt; on a diorama it separates a building from a road. Filling the empty space between a house and a roadway is at the same time the simplest thing that moves a scene from a kit toward a picture of a real town.
A sidewalk accessory is supplied. Buildings, roadway, figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
