A decal sheet in 1:72 scale with markings of the Hungarian MiG-29B fighters and two-seat MiG-29UB in the older color scheme.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-29 is a Soviet twin-engine fighter aircraft, recognizable by its engine nacelles set far apart, its substantial wing leading-edge root extensions and its pair of vertical tail surfaces. The Hungarian Air Force operated the single-seat MiG-29B version as well as the two-seat MiG-29UB trainer version, which has a second position for an instructor behind the pilot's cockpit. Both versions have identical main shapes, so markings from one sheet suit a model of either.
The sheet is tied to the color scheme, not to a particular kit, so it can be used on a model from any manufacturer in the same scale, provided it matches the subject in shape. It carries markings of Hungarian machines in the older rendition, that is, in the form the aircraft wore before the later modification carried under the NATO designation. The manufacturer's instructions show the scope of the individual elements and their placement on the model.
The markings of this range combine both the dry and the wet transfer procedure, so before working, check in the manufacturer's instructions which of them the elements are applied by. The rest of the procedure is common: the markings belong on a smooth gloss base, because on a matte or grainy surface air stays under the edge and a light border appears around the element. So varnish the area with gloss varnish first, seat the element in place, and once dry cover it with matte or semi-gloss varnish so that the edges disappear.
For builders of MiG-29 models in 1:72 scale who want to build a Hungarian machine in the older color scheme instead of the scheme from the box. This is a separate accessory: the model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
