Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov brings the classic vintage mold of the Soviet fighter Lavochkin La-7, completed by more modern decals. It is the original older KP mold in light gray plastic, with a simpler breakdown of parts and raised panel lines, as was typical of that era. That is exactly why it is a rewarding and relatively undemanding kit, suitable for less experienced modelers and for nostalgic collectors of classic KP. The package usually contains decals for several color options.
The Lavochkin La-7 was the peak of the development line of Soviet fighters LaGG-3, La-5 and La-7. It entered service in 1944 and quickly took its place among the best piston fighters of the Red Army in the closing stage of the Second World War. It was powered by a radial engine and stood out against its predecessors for better aerodynamics and performance at low and medium altitude. A number of Soviet aces scored their greatest successes on the La-7.
Protect the raised panel lines when sanding the seams; once filled, you can go over them lightly with a scriber. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting; Soviet schemes tend to be in gray-green and blue-gray shades, which come out well with an airbrush. Apply the decals onto a gloss coat and unify the whole model with a matte coat. Mask the cockpit and fit it only once the frame has been painted.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
