The Bf 109G-6 is the most widespread version of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter and from 1943 it formed the backbone of the day fighter force. You can tell it by the pair of covers above the engine, which had to cover the breeches of the 13 mm machine guns and which for their shape were called bulges. A 20 mm cannon fired through the propeller hub, and gondolas with further gun armament could be hung under the wing. The powerplant was a liquid-cooled inverted V12 DB 605.
The subtitle in the name is aimed at the service of the type on the Eastern Front. Machines from this front are among the rewarding subjects: with them you meet quick winter overpainting, dust from field airfields and finishes weathered by a long stay outdoors. Which particular color forms belong to the model is given by the painting instructions.
The abbreviation 2in1 in the name refers to a package with two models, so you can build a pair of machines in different colors. In 1:144 scale the span comes out at around seven centimeters, which places demands on patience rather than on the number of hours. Separate the parts with a sharp blade and remove the traces of manufacture before you start gluing. Apply the glue in drops with a wire, lay the decals on a glossy base and unify the finished model with matte varnish.
For collectors building in a single small scale and for anyone who wants the most widespread version of the Bf 109 in a display case without demands on room. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
