Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet supersonic MiG-21F-13 fighter in 1:48 scale from Eduard, released as the limited edition EFKA. Besides the plastic parts the richly equipped package contains etched parts, painting masks for the canopy glazing and for the landing gear bays, a decal sheet with complete stencils and color schemes of MiG-21F-13 machines in Czechoslovak service. An accompanying publication devoted to the operation and service of these aircraft in Czechoslovakia is included as well.
The MiG-21F-13 is one of the first production versions of the legendary Soviet fighter, with its characteristic delta wing and the circular nose air intake with a movable shock cone. It is a day frontline fighter with simple armament, a cannon and short-range guided missiles. These machines formed the backbone of the Czechoslovak fighter force in the 1960s and represent the early, clean era of the MiG-21 before the later heavier variants.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic; attach the etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Use a primer before painting. Mask the canopy glazing with the enclosed masks and spray with an airbrush. The early Czechoslovak MiG-21s carried a predominantly natural metal finish, so metallic lacquers (shades of polished aluminum, for instance) with the individual panels set apart for a livelier look are appropriate.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
