A set with a service tent for the paddock of a racing circuit, done in the colors of the ADVAN brand. It is an accessory for collector's car models, not a model of a car.
The paddock is a team's base between runs and the tent over the service area is its roof. Sets of tires are stacked under it, tools and jacks stand there and work is done on the car there even in rain or in the midday sun. In a display case the tent does exactly the same for a model: it gives the car a setting and explains what is happening to it. A collection of models lined up in a row is a parade, whereas a car parked under a team tent is a scene.
ADVAN is the sporting tire brand of the Japanese firm Yokohama, and its combination of red, blue and black has belonged to Japanese circuit racing for decades. A tent in this form therefore suits Japanese racing cars above all, whether circuit specials or cars with a tuning conversion.
Stand the tent on a level surface of the display case or on a diorama base and move the car up to it so that room is left between them for the crew. Wipe dust off with a soft brush; the printing on the canvas does not take solvents or rubbing, and in direct sunlight the colors of the canvas gradually fade. The extent of the package and any assembly are stated by the manufacturer in the instructions.
Vehicle models, paints and glue are not part of this set, unless stated otherwise.
