Kei Miura and his wide flares

Kei Miura stands behind a brand whose riveted widening flares are recognized by tuners all over the world. Pandem is one of his lines and it differs from the sister name in betting on a rougher, workshop look rather than on a smooth line. The kit for the newest generation of the Japanese coupe adds massive fenders, a new front bumper and a sizable wing.

The subject under the carbon

The Z model, which in Japan still carries the name Fairlady, was presented in 2021 as the successor to a long-built predecessor. It is powered by a three-liter six-cylinder in a V with two turbochargers, and the design deliberately quotes both the first and the fourth generation: round lights at the front, a drawn-out rear and a straight line of the windows.

The yellow Ikazuchi

Ikazuchi Yellow is the launch color of this generation and the Japanese word in its name means thunder. On a widened body it looks even more aggressive than on the production car, because it brings out the edges of the flares. The miniature arrives finished and printed; no assembly awaits it.

A tuning form suits a collection especially well next to the production version of the same car, where the difference in the width of the body comes out at first glance.

The rear lights drawn across the whole width of the rear are a quotation of the generation of the 1970s and are among the most discussed elements of the whole car. Japanese coupes in tuning conversions are among the most rewarding areas of this class of models: a single type exists in dozens of forms and each one looks different, even though the same basis stays under the paint.
