The Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid that won the Rallye Monte-Carlo in January 2024. A 1:64 casting with the complete competition graphics, left-hand drive.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Rallye Monte-Carlo opens the season of the world championship and is run on the narrow roads of the Maritime Alps, where the result is often decided by the choice of tires for a section that has dry asphalt, ice and melting snow within a single kilometer. In January 2024 this event was won by the Belgian crew of Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe with the car carrying race number eleven. Neuville then took his first drivers' world championship title in the same year.
Rally1 cars have been running since 2022 on a tubular frame and have hybrid power. A force-fed 1.6-liter four-cylinder gives around 380 horses, and an electric unit with an output of one hundred kilowatts is added to it, which may be deployed only in prescribed sections of a special stage. The safety structure is considerably stiffer than in the earlier categories and the weight is limited by the rules.
The casting captures the competition version including the complete sponsor graphics, the roof air intake and the massive rear wing. 1:64 scale, a metal body, a plastic interior, rubber tires on turning wheels. The car has left-hand drive and is supplied in a box.
Competition specials are collected season by season in small scales, and the winner of the opening event of the year tends to be the piece that even collectors who otherwise do not follow rallying reach for.
Next to other competition specials it is plain at first glance how the category has developed – the hybrid generation has markedly more massive aerodynamic elements than the cars of the previous years.
