A metal miniature of the Toyota GR86 coupe in the wide-body conversion by the Japanese workshop Liberty Walk, a form in red paint, size 1:64.
Responsibility details are not available.
Liberty Walk has been led since 2009 by Wataru Kato and even a layman recognizes his hand: riveted fender flares, a markedly lowered chassis and an aggressive front spoiler. The branch called LB Nation came about as a more attainable offshoot of the program, where the flank is widened without extensive cutting of sheet metal, so that the owner of an ordinary sports coupe can reach it too.
The coupe with the factory designation ZN8 came onto the market in 2021. Under the hood works a flat-four of 2.4 liters, an output of around 173 kW goes through a limited slip differential to the rear wheels and the center of gravity of the car lies exceptionally low. It is precisely because of this character that the GR86 became a sought-after basis for conversions.
The car is captured in a deep red with the contrasting accessories the workshop uses on its show pieces. The body is cast from metal, the glazing is clear and in the cabin the separately rendered seats and the dashboard are visible. The wheels sit deep in the widened arches on low-profile tires, and the front spoiler and the rear wing are parts of their own.
This is a finished collector's item, which is neither assembled nor given extra paint. The packaging is a rigid box with a transparent window and an inner insert which holds the vehicle in place even in transport. The longer side of the casting runs at around seven centimeters, so it fits in the palm of a hand and takes up little room in a display case.
