IONIC Scaly Green is a single shade from the IONIC color range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The name places it among the greens and refers to the coloring of scales: it therefore suggests itself for lizards, dragons and other scaly beings, but it also serves where you need a green on a machine, on an overgrown stone or on an ivy-covered wall in a diorama. Compare the exact tone with the manufacturer's color chart, because a screen always shows a color a little differently from the coat itself.
Stir the contents thoroughly before picking any up; pigment settling at the bottom is normal with modeling paints. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging and those instructions take precedence; a thinner from another range can curdle the paint. Apply in several thin coats and let each one dry, because one heavy coat floods the engraving and the fine detail disappears. On a smooth surface a coat holds considerably better if you first wash the part, degrease it and coat it with a primer. Clean brushes and the airbrush cup straight after work, as dried paint is far harder to remove.
For modelers and figure painters who build their palette up shade by shade and want to add a particular green to what they already have at home. The IONIC range comes out in individual colors as well as in themed sets, so you can start with one shade and extend it gradually.
