IONIC Dark Green is a dark green paint from the IONIC range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. A dark green is among the shades used up fastest: it suits vegetation, the dark areas of vehicles, cloth and canvas and also a base under lighter greens, which are then laid over it dry or as a glaze. How deep the tone is exactly should be compared with the manufacturer's color chart, because dark greens shift particularly easily on a screen.
Stir the contents properly before work; with modeling paints the pigment settles at the bottom and unstirred paint changes both the tone and the coverage. What it is thinned with and in what ratio is given by the manufacturer on the packaging, those instructions take precedence and it is better not to reach for a thinner from another range. Build the paint up in thin coats and let it dry between them, as a heavy coat gathers in the engraving and the fine detail disappears in it. Wash the base, degrease it and give it a primer coat, as a coat holds less well on a bare smooth surface. Flush brushes and the airbrush straight after work, while the paint is still wet.
On figures, on vehicle models and on dioramas, wherever you need a dark green as a full area or as a base under shading. The IONIC range comes out in individual shades as well as in themed sets, so you can build the palette up piece by piece.
