The Char B1 bis was a French heavy tank of the Second World War and, for its time, an exceptionally heavily armored machine. Its armament was split between two positions: in the hull sat a short 75 mm gun with very limited traverse, so the target was aimed at by turning the whole vehicle, and on top was a small turret for a single man with a 47 mm gun. The commander therefore commanded, loaded and fired all at once, which was a serious limitation in the fighting of 1940. Even so it was an opponent that German vehicles of the period struggled to match.
The package holds three models of the same type, that is a whole platoon. 1:100 scale is used where the point is not a single displayed piece but formations of several vehicles, whether on a gaming table or in a larger scene. A small scale keeps down both the outlay and the room taken up in a display case, and it makes it possible to build a unit in a convincing number.
Cut the parts away with a sharp blade a little clear of the attachment point, sand off the remainder and wash and degrease everything before painting. Choose the glue according to the material given on the packaging, and the order of assembly according to the manufacturer's instructions. French vehicles of 1940 carried multicolored camouflage with soft transitions, which can be suggested in miniature even with an ordinary brush. Three identical machines deserve a slight differentiation, or the platoon looks like a set of copies: vary the shade of dust, the arrangement of the vehicle's own stowage and the degree of wear on the edges.
The models are supplied according to the name. Paints, glue and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
