A wooden deck for a model of the battleship HMS Iron Duke in 1:600 scale from Artwox Model. A self-adhesive laser-cut veneer with a printed-in drawing of the planks.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory, not a ship model. The self-adhesive wooden deck of fine veneer is laser-cut to the shape of the decks of the British battleship HMS Iron Duke in 1:600 scale. The printed-in drawing of the planks replaces smooth plastic and gives the model the natural look of a wooden walking deck. The set completes a plastic kit matching this ship and this scale.
HMS Iron Duke was the lead ship of the class of British dreadnoughts of the same name. In the First World War she served as the flagship of Admiral Jellicoe and of the main British fleet at the Battle of Jutland in 1916. Her main armament was ten 13.5-inch guns.
Clean and degrease the area of the deck before sticking anything on. In a smaller scale the parts are tiny, so work carefully and with tweezers. The veneer peels off its backing, is laid on from the edge and pressed down gently so that no bubbles form. Once it is on, it is a good idea to treat the deck with a matte clear varnish.
This is a separate accessory to a plastic model. The ship kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
