A resin seat with belts for the Messerschmitt Me-262 in 1:48 scale from Art Scale, a detail accessory for the cockpit of the jet fighter. It is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail accessory from Art Scale offers a resin pilot's seat including the seat belts for a model of the Messerschmitt Me-262 jet fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a refining part for the cockpit, which replaces the simplified seat from a plastic kit with a more faithfully shaped casting with the belts and buckles rendered.
The Messerschmitt Me-262 Schwalbe was the first jet fighter in the world to enter operational service. Two jet engine nacelles under the wings gave it a marked advantage in speed; it went into action at the end of the Second World War as a fighter and as a fighter-bomber. A detailed cockpit with a faithful seat is one of the features that markedly raise the impression a finished model of this machine makes.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off with a scalpel and sand the surfaces wet with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer to the resin; paint the seat bucket in the base interior shade, set the belts apart with a lighter canvas tone and pick out the buckles with a dry brush and a metal color.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The base aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the package.
