30MS SIS-Ac19b Siana-Amarcia (Vivace Form)

The version called Vivace Form

Siana-Amarcia comes in a rendition the manufacturer has named Vivace Form. With this kit series such epithets tell the individual releases of the same character apart: the cut of the clothing, the accessories and the color balance change with them, while the basic construction of the body stays shared. For a collector that means the individual releases can be compared side by side and parts swapped between them.

Contents and preparation

The package consists of plastic sprues, instructions and small accessories. Before you start, lay the parts out on a mat according to the instructions and get sharp-bladed nippers ready: a blunt tool crushes the plastic and the mark stays even after cleaning up. The procedure is laid out so that the character comes into being in whole sections, from the legs to the head.

The mobility of the finished character

The body is held together by joints that come apart, which allow the stance and the tilt to be changed. The shoulders and hips have the greatest range, while the ankles and wrists serve more for fine adjustment. When you decide on a more pronounced pose, rest the figure against a stand so the weight is not carried into a single pin.

Display and photography

Light from above with a gentle reflection from the side shows the surface of the plastic better than direct flash, which burns out small details. A plain background behind the figure is useful, so the colors of the clothing stand out. Before photographing, run a soft brush over the model; dust shows more in a photograph than in a display case. A tripod or a firm support for the camera then allows the aperture to be closed down and the sharpness held from the face to the shoes.
