The designation SIS-Dc88W Eline Elierica belongs to a humanoid figure from the 30MS kit series. The package holds injection-molded plastic sprues from which a modeler seats the whole character together, including the hair, the face section and the armor. The qualifier Elegante Form tells this form apart from the basic rendition of the same character: the shaping of the armor, the accessories and the color balance of the parts change with it.
The parts are molded straight in color, so the seated result looks good even without a single spray coat. The joints hold on a pin-and-socket principle, which has two practical consequences: the character can be taken back apart into components at any time, and the individual sections can be exchanged with parts from the other sets of the same series. That very interchangeability is what the whole concept rests on.
Nippers and a sharp scalpel pay off here too: remnants of gates on visible edges show more on colored plastic than on gray. If you want to varnish the surface over, sand the transitions with fine paper and degrease them; colored plastic does not have to be varnished as such, but it takes varnish without trouble. Stickers or decals for the face belong on a dry and completely cooled surface.
The set aims at modelers who want to assemble a movable figure without the need for gluing and spraying, and at the same time at collectors who put their own combinations together from several sets.
It pays to store the sprues and the small joints in a resealable bag, because the smallest components vanish from a table with uncanny reliability.
