The 1:32 kit captures the American Northrop RF-5E Tiger Eye reconnaissance aircraft. It is an injection-molded plastic model to be assembled and painted.
The RF-5E Tiger Eye is the tactical reconnaissance version of the light F-5E Tiger II fighter. In place of the radar and one of the cannons it carried an interchangeable sensor module with cameras in a lengthened nose. Northrop developed it as a private venture and the aircraft served with a number of export users. Power came from a pair of General Electric J85 turbojets.
Glue the plastic parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic, sand the joints down and treat them with a primer. An airbrush gives the most even coat; reconnaissance machines tend to wear bold camouflage schemes, and those come into their own once a gloss base has been prepared under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
