Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker RS Models. The subject is the German assault and transport glider DFS 230 in the guise tied to Operation Rösselsprung. The kit is a typical RS Models short-run release and usually comes with a photo-etched fret for fine detail. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The DFS 230 was a light Luftwaffe transport glider that made its name in daring airborne actions. The glider was towed behind a tug aircraft and, once released, glided silently to the target, where it set down several fully armed soldiers practically on the spot. Operation Rösselsprung, meaning the knight's move, was a German attempt in May 1944 to capture the Yugoslav partisan leader, in which DFS 230 gliders were used to land troops directly in the target area.
The glider has a simple but spacious structure, so take care over clean assembly of the fuselage frame and the clear cabin parts. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay a primer on the ground, spray the camouflage with an airbrush and do not forget subtle weathering to match service in the field.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
