This set contains finely rendered seat and harness belts for Martin-Baker Mk.4 ejection seats in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a refining accessory (a detail set) that replaces simplified or missing belts on a plastic seat and markedly lifts the realism of an open cockpit.
The Martin-Baker Mk.4 ejection seat was among the widespread escape seats of British design and was fitted to a number of jet aircraft of the 1950s and 1960s. Faithful multi-point belts with buckles are one of the features that catch the eye at once on a model, because real seats were densely threaded with straps and fittings.
Separate the parts carefully from the carrier fret and clean them up. Seat the belts on the seat following reference photographs and shape them naturally over the edges. Super glue (cyanoacrylate) works well for fixing them. The painting can be done with a brush, and the buckles are carefully brought up with a dry brush or a dark wash so that the relief stands out.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The target kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
