The Ferrari Daytona SP3 in the yellow Giallo Modena shade, a metal miniature from the premium collector's branch, 1:64 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The February twenty-four-hour race on the Florida circuit in 1967 ended with three cars from Maranello crossing the line side by side. It is precisely this scene that the Daytona SP3 refers to, the third piece of the Icona collector's line, unveiled at the close of 2021. The shapes of the body quote the sports prototypes of the 1960s, but the engineering is entirely contemporary.
Under the rear cover works a naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder of 6.5 liters. An output of around 618 kW at more than nine thousand revolutions makes it the most powerful engine of its kind the marque has ever put into a road car. The shell is of carbon composites, the roof panel can be removed and the doors open upward. Five hundred ninety-nine examples were built and all of them found owners before the public premiere.
Giallo Modena belongs to the marque's historical colors and recalls the city arms of the founder's birthplace. On a body with pronounced flanks and a glazed rear it looks sharper than the traditional red and shows the complex shaping of the surfaces better.
The casting comes from the more demandingly worked branch of the collector's line, behind which stands an Italian specialist in miniatures of cars from Maranello. The body is metal, the engine compartment is glazed, the cabin has detailed seats and the badges are rendered in fine printing.
