Imitations of fastening hardware 0.7 mm in size, that is nut, bolt and washer parts to be glued onto a model. They replace a flat suggested detail with a three-dimensional part.

On a real machine hardware holds everything together, but on a model all that usually remains of it is a shallow hex suggested in the surface. This set offers a replacement: nut, bolt and washer parts 0.7 mm in size which are glued directly to the place where the joint is to be visible. The difference tells at once, because a glued-on part stands above the surface, has edges of its own and casts a shadow, whereas a suggested detail stays flat even after painting.
Seven tenths of a millimeter is among the finest dimensions that can be sensibly worked with using tweezers. It suits places where a coarser part would catch the eye at once: on the flanges of small units, on covers, hinges and caps, on motorcycle frames or on the details of chassis. Choose the size according to the scale of the model and according to how large a joint you want to imitate; comparing the part with a detail already on the kit works well.
First cut the original suggested joint off with a sharp blade and level the surface, so that the new part seats on its whole underside. Mark the position in advance with a shallow recess, otherwise the small part will shift while being laid down. Carry the glue in a minute amount with the tip of a wire or a toothpick, not straight from the bottle, because a drop floods the part and the edges disappear. Choose tweezers with fine jaws and work over a surface with a raised rim.
For modelers who want to see a real part instead of a flat impression, and for repairing places where the detail disappeared while the seams were worked. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
