A set of colored interior 3D decals on decal paper for a model of the American Republic P-47D Thunderbolt fighter in the 25RE and 28RA versions in 1:48 scale. This is not a kit but an add-on for detailing the cockpit. The relief decals imitate the instruments and the details of the cockpit with spatial depth.
The 3D decals replace painting small elements by hand. The instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat belts and the controls gain legibility and faithful color. The result comes close to a photo-etched set, yet it is quicker to apply and calls for no metal parts.
Apply them as wet decals: dip them briefly, transfer them onto a smooth degreased surface, ideally one coated with a gloss varnish, and settle them with a soft cotton swab. Whether a decal softener may be used on printed elements is something to check in the manufacturer's instructions. Transfer the small segments with tweezers and work in good light.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
