About product

AIMS, Hans-Joachim Marseille decals (1:48)

A set of wet decals in 1:48 scale with the markings of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters connected with the German air ace Hans-Joachim Marseille. It is a decal add-on from the British brand AIMS, not a kit.

The real subject

Hans-Joachim Marseille, nicknamed the Star of Africa, was among the most successful fighter pilots of the North African theater. His Messerschmitts carried striking personal markings and tallies of his victories.

Use

  • Apply the decal onto a gloss varnish for a clean transition with no silvering.
  • Dip the sheet briefly in lukewarm water and slide the marking onto the surface.
  • Fix it with a softener and go over it with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of German fighters in 1:48 scale
  • Anyone interested in the markings of a historically famous pilot

The set holds decals only. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
