Turned brass replacement gun barrels for the British 406 mm (16 in) Mark I in 1:700 scale from MASTER. An accurate metal accessory for the main battery, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely turned brass gun barrels of 406 mm (16 in) caliber, type Mark I, in 1:700 scale from the Polish manufacturer MASTER. This is a metal detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrels from the box. The package contains 9 pieces, which corresponds to the main battery in three triple turrets. The metal barrels are perfectly straight and have the true profile that plastic moldings usually cannot manage.
The British 406 mm gun of 45 calibers length (16 in, L/45) Mark I was the main armament of the battleships Nelson and Rodney. All nine barrels were concentrated in three triple turrets forward, which was a very characteristic arrangement for these ships. They were treaty battleships of the interwar period.
Cut the original plastic barrels off and clean up, then set the turned parts into the turrets. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or with epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer for metal.
This is a replacement part, not a model of a ship. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
