A set of precisely turned brass barrels of 356 mm (14 inch) caliber and 45 calibers length in 1:700 scale from the Polish manufacturer MASTER. It is a metal detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrels from the box. The package contains 12 pieces, which matches the main battery of American battleships with two twin and two triple turrets. The set also fits a model of the battleship USS Arizona.
The American gun of 356 mm caliber and 45 calibers length (14 inch, L/45) made up the main armament of the older American battleships of the New York, Nevada and Pennsylvania classes. Depending on the class it was fitted in a combination of twin and triple turrets, twelve barrels per ship in all. It was the standard caliber of the American dreadnoughts of the First World War era, which served in the Second World War as well.
Cut off the original plastic barrels and clean them up, then seat the turned parts in the turrets. They are glued with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer for metal.
This is a replacement part, not a ship model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
