This plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the Italian self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, a heavy 3Ro truck with a 90 mm gun mounted on it (Cannone da 90/53). The model is built from plastic parts; glue and paints are needed to finish it.
The Autocannone da 90/53 came about by mounting the powerful 90/53 gun on the chassis of the heavy Italian Lancia 3Ro truck. The 90 mm gun proved itself in a dual role, anti-aircraft as well as anti-tank, and in combat it was among the most effective Italian weapons. Only a limited number of these self-propelled vehicles were built and they were deployed in North Africa and on other battlefields of the Second World War.
On this vehicle it pays to assemble and paint the chassis, the cargo bed and the gun mount before you close them up. Clean the joints carefully and apply a primer before painting. For the Italian sand camouflage and the weathering use washes and pigments, which will bring out the detail and the rivets and add dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
