Responsibility details are not available.
The M3A3 was the last and most refined link in the series of American light tanks that the British named Stuart. It can be told from the older versions at a glance: the hull is welded, its sides are markedly sloped and the turret with its extended rear differs from the earlier shape. The armament remained in 37 mm caliber, supplemented by machine guns. A light tank could not be relied on in a straight fight with heavier machines, but it served all the better for reconnaissance, for a rapid advance along roads and for supporting infantry in a town. This release of the set refers to the liberation of Paris in the summer of 1944.
A kit in 1:72 scale to be glued and painted. The parts are on injection-molded sprues and are glued with cement for polystyrene. In the small scale the running gear parts and the fittings are tiny, so separate them with a sharp blade and preferably over a surface from which a part is easy to find again.
The set suits collectors of vehicles in 1:72 scale as well as builders of smaller dioramas, where a light tank fits into a street scene along with its surroundings. Paints, glue and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
