Extended landing flaps for the Breguet Atlantic maritime patrol aircraft in 1:72 scale are cast in resin and change the outline of the wing of a large model. Intended for the Revell kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The resin set changes the closed flaps on the wing of the large maritime aircraft for extended ones. In 1:72 scale the finished model has a respectable span and the open wing mechanization gives it movement even in a display case. The target kit is Revell.
The Breguet Atlantic came about at the beginning of the 1960s as a joint project of several European states which were looking for a replacement for their worn-out American types. The fuselage has an unusual double-bubble cross-section: a numerous crew works in the upper part, the lower is taken up by a long bomb bay. Two turboprop engines provide the power, thanks to which the aircraft lasts in the air for many hours. Besides France the machines served in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Pakistan, and that until recently.
First rid the castings of the mold release agent with a soapy bath and let them dry properly. Cut the sprue blocks off and level the surface on a glass plate with sandpaper. Repeat the dry fit until the part sits without pressure; resin under tension cracks. Glue with cyanoacrylate and clean up the joint before the primer comes in turn. Wipe the dust after sanding away with a damp cloth, as otherwise it will catch in the engraved lines.
It is a conversion set, not a complete model.
