The HMC M8 (Howitzer Motor Carriage) was an American light self-propelled artillery vehicle built on the chassis of the M5 Stuart light tank. In an open rotating turret it carried a 75mm howitzer meant for direct fire support of infantry and reconnaissance units. It was deployed from 1942 in American armored divisions and later served with a number of other armies as well. The nickname Scott was used above all by the Allies.
It is a small scale with fine parts, so work with a sharp knife and liquid cement for plastic, and glue the small etched and printed parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting. With an open turret it pays to paint and highlight the inside first. Bring the olive drab camouflage to life with a wash in the recesses and engraved lines and with fine dust and mud pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
