This resin set brings separate horizontal tail surfaces, the stabilizers, for a kit of the Douglas A-1 Skyraider in 1:72 scale. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic parts with more faithful castings with a well-rendered texture of the covering.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was an American single-engine attack aircraft with a piston radial engine which, thanks to its heavy load and long endurance, served even in the age of jets. The horizontal tail surfaces are a prominently visible part on a model, and rendering them faithfully supports the overall impression.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways while sanding. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing, check the angle and the symmetry with which the stabilizers are fitted.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
