Small relief decals for the cockpit of the modernized attack aircraft in the small 1:72 scale, drawn to the Hasegawa kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Few combat aircraft have survived so many attempts at withdrawal. Every time a plan appeared to retire this carrier of external stores, it turned out there was no substitute for it in supporting units on the ground: a slow flying speed, long endurance over the battlefield and a toughness that fast machines do not offer. Modernization in the new millennium therefore brought it new control and display equipment, so that it could work with guided munitions and a targeting pod. From the outside almost nothing changed; inside, almost everything.
At 1:72 the whole pilot's space is the size of a fingernail. Imitating screens, keypads and a row of circuit breakers in it with a brush is work for several evenings with an uncertain end. Printed pieces in relief get round this problem: they are finished in color, have real height and seat in a few minutes.
The outlines are based on the kit of the Hasegawa brand in the stated size. Before applying, clear the base of dust and grease, release the piece in lukewarm water, transfer it into place and draw the water off. Once dry, go over the surface with a matte varnish. The consignment holds the set only, not the model itself.
At small scales it pays to have a strong light and a magnifier to hand, because the individual pieces are truly tiny and easily drop out of sight. Work over a light-colored mat and cut from the sheet only the piece you are seating at that moment. Leave the rest protected in its original packaging until its turn comes.
