Photo-etched metal parts in 1:72 scale for completing a model of the attack aircraft A-10C Thunderbolt II.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-10C Thunderbolt II is a single-seat attack aircraft built literally around its 30 mm rotary cannon. It came into being for long loiter over a battlefield at low altitude, which is why it has an armored cockpit, backup mechanical controls and a resilient structure. The letter C in the designation belongs to the modernized version with a digital cockpit and the ability to carry guided munitions. For its angular and ungainly shape it earned a good-natured nickname from its crews.
The package carries additional photo-etched metal parts in 1:72 scale. They serve to replace or complete the plastic parts of a kit in places where the plastic is necessarily thicker than real sheet. Which parts of the model the set improves and in what order the parts are fitted is described by the maker's instructions.
Work on a light surface; tiny metal parts are easier to find on it. Separate them with a sharp blade, not by tearing, otherwise they will bend at the tab. Lead the bends along the marked grooves and hold the part with flat tweezers. For the joint use super glue or a two-part epoxy; cement for polystyrene will not join metal. Degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a base color, and only then apply the covering shade.
The set is for modelers who want to take a model of the A-10C to the last detail and do not mind slow work with tweezers. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
