1:72 A-1H are pre-cut painting masks from Eduard for a model of the Skyraider attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. They are neither decals nor parts of a model: they serve to mask the glazing and other areas while spraying.

A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the clear parts of a model of the A-1H Skyraider attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is neither a kit nor accessory parts: the package holds shaped masks that you stick onto the clear part, you cover the rest and you spray the cockpit framing together with the rest of the airframe. The result is sharp, evenly wide framing, which is hard to achieve at this scale by masking freehand.
The masks are die-cut into a carrier film, so you peel them off one at a time with tweezers and transfer them straight onto the part. Degrease the glazing first and let it dry completely, as a mask will not hold on a greasy surface and the paint will seep underneath. Lay the individual segments on the glass so that they line up with the engraved framing and press them down with a wooden toothpick or a soft tool, above all around the perimeter. On rounded canopies the masks are laid in sections; anyone who wants an absolutely precise edge can trim it after sticking with a new blade along the outline of the framing. Cover the remaining areas of the model with ordinary masking tape.
First spray the edge of the mask with the interior shade, and any seepage will then not be visible on the finished model. Only after that spray the outer color. Apply the paint in several thin coats; a heavy coat creates a ridge at the edge of the mask that peels off during removal. Remove the masks while the finish is freshly dry, not after several days, because after a longer time the adhesive holds more strongly and the paint may be pulled off. Lift a corner with tweezers and pull them off slowly at a sharp angle. If a trace of adhesive is left behind, remove it with a cotton bud moistened in alcohol, never with an aggressive thinner.
The set contains only painting masks. The model, paints and thinner are not included in the package. The masks are cut for a particular kit of the given type and scale: before buying, check that they match yours.
