A set of fine photo-etched metal parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for sharpening a plastic kit of the Cessna A-37B Dragonfly light attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is not a model or a kit - it is an accessory that replaces or completes plastic parts with more faithful metal ones. Photo-etched parts thinner than plastic give the cockpit and the outer surfaces a depth and structure that injected plastic cannot manage.
The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly is a light attack and counter-insurgency aircraft created by rebuilding the T-37 jet trainer. The A-37B version had a strengthened structure, more powerful engines and armament for close support of ground troops; it was used above all in Southeast Asia. The two-seat cockpit with side-by-side seats and the compact dimensions make it an interesting subject in a smaller scale.
The finest parts belong in the interior before the fuselage is closed up, while small exterior items are glued to the finished model. Cut the parts off with a sharp knife at the fret and shape the bends over the edge of a ruler or with a bender. Bond them with a small drop of super glue (cyanoacrylate). Because of the size, the set is aimed at advanced modelers - tweezers and a magnifier are worth having.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
