A resin replacement in-flight refueling probe for the A-4 Skyhawk, early version in 1:72 scale from Aires/Quickboost.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set holds a precisely cast probe for in-flight refueling for models of the A-4 Skyhawk attack aircraft in 1:72 scale, in the form of the early version. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the corresponding part of a kit and brings a finer and more faithful shape of the probe projecting from the forward fuselage.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was an American light carrier-based attack aircraft with a long service career. The fixed probe for in-flight refueling was placed on the right side of the forward fuselage; its shape evolved during production, so the early and the later versions differ from each other. This set matches the early form.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, carefully separate it from the casting block and clean it up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fit the thin probe only at the end of the build, so that it does not get damaged while the model is handled. Use a primer before painting.
This is an accessory for a model, not a stand-alone kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
