1:72 A-4B/C/E/F Skyhawk BASIC kabuki masks

Kabuki masks A-4B/C/E/F Skyhawk – the BASIC grade, 1:72 (New Ware)

A set of precisely cut masking templates from kabuki paper (washi) for spraying the glazing and the wheels of a model of the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk in the B, C, E and F versions, 1:72 scale. The BASIC grade covers the cockpit glazing, the other clear parts and the wheels. It is not a kit, but an aid for quick and clean painting with sharp transitions.

The real subject

The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a small American carrier attack aircraft of the 1950s, popular for its low weight, simplicity and long service with the navy and with many foreign users. The single-seat B, C, E and F versions differed in the engine, the avionics and the dorsal avionics hump.

Usage tips

• Degrease the glazing and press the mask down into the frames, so that the paint does not run under.
• Undercoat the frames with the interior shade, then apply the exterior covering coat.
• Kabuki paper follows the rounded canopy and leaves no glue once taken off.
• Take the mask off while the paint has only set, for the sake of a sharp edge.

Who the set is for

• Builders of the carrier attack aircraft in 1:72 scale.
• Modelers who want quick masking of the glazing and the wheels.
• Beginners and advanced builders alike for whom the basic extent of masks is enough.

The mask is an aid for spraying. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
