A rocking chair in 1:72 scale is a scenic accessory for a diorama. It is not a model kit but a stand-alone piece of furniture for an interior, a porch or a yard.
Responsibility details are not available.
The rocking chair belongs among the scenic accessories for dioramas and display scenes. It is not a kit of an aircraft or a vehicle — it is a stand-alone object of a scene, to be stood beside a finished model, in the interior of a building or next to a figure. In 1:72 scale the part is very small, so count on working under a magnifier and with tweezers.
It looks most natural on a porch, in the yard of a country house or in a living interior. It also works well as a narrative element: an empty rocking chair by a house past which vehicles are driving gives a scene a mood that the model alone cannot create. The accessory is not tied to a particular kit and combines with any model or figure in 1:72 scale.
First remove the sprue gate remnants and level the face left after the cut. Degrease the surface before painting and lay down a thin coat of base. Wood in such a small scale comes from layering: a lighter base, a thin brown wash or an oil glaze drawn along the grain over it, and finally a dry brush in a lighter shade on the edges of the seat and the back. If the chair is to look painted, reach for a matte shade and rub the edges lightly, so that the wood shows through. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) in a minimal amount, ideally with a pin. Work in a well-ventilated room.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
