A plastic kit of the tanker trailer A-Stoffanhänger for the V-2 ballistic missile in 1:72 scale from Special Armour.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the tanker trailer A-Stoffanhänger in 1:72 scale from Special Armour. The trailer served to supply the A4/V-2 ballistic missiles with liquid oxygen (known as A-Stoff), which was the oxidizer of the missile's propellant. The parts are laid out on injection-molded sprues in sand-colored plastic and were created from modern CAD documentation.
The A-Stoffanhänger was a four-wheeled road trailer with a heavily reinforced frame, which carried a double-walled insulated tank for liquid oxygen. The tank held thousands of liters of liquefied oxygen, which was pumped into the missile before launch. The vehicle was part of the extensive ground equipment without which the V-2 launches could not be carried out.
Cut the smaller parts off carefully and clean them up. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, fill the seams and sand them smooth. After spraying the primer, lay down the color base with an airbrush and bring the frame and the tank to life with washes and pigments, which will pick out the rivets and the recesses. The trailer works beautifully in a diorama with a launch stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
