Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cast resin exhausts for the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero carrier fighter in the type 21 and type 32 versions, 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part with drilled outlets that replaces the coarser plastic exhausts from the base kit. It is not a stand-alone airplane model, but an accessory.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a Japanese single-seat carrier fighter of the Second World War, famous for its long range and agility. It was powered by the Nakajima Sakae radial engine. The type 21 had folding wingtips for carrier operations, while the type 32 received reworked wings with clipped tips. The exhausts from the radial engine are among the conspicuous details and a faithful rendering of them lifts the level of a finished model.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways while sanding. The exhausts come out once painted in metallic rusty shades and gently brought out with pigments or a wash.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
