A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This set of finely cast resin sharpens up the control surfaces of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. It replaces the parts from the box with faithfully drawn ailerons, elevator and rudder with fine texture of the covering, and lets them be seated in a deflected position. The set is meant for more advanced modelers with experience of resin.
Deflected control surfaces give a static model dynamism at once and show careful work. The casting faithfully captures the texture of the ribs and the covering as well as the thin trailing edges, which are only formed from solid plastic with difficulty. Once painted and lightly weathered, the transitions between the fixed and the moving part look entirely natural and underline the elegant lines of the Zero.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
