A photo-etched set for the Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero in 1:72 scale is an accessory to a kit you have already bought, not an airplane model. It adds detail to a model that cannot be made from plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory set in etched sheet for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit; the model is bought separately and the set is cut for one particular kit, Tamiya 60780. The accessory is made by the Czech company Brengun.
Etching works with sheet a fraction of a millimeter thick, so it can capture features that will not fit into an injection mold. In 1:72 scale that shows most on flat, thin parts, where a plastic component always looks thicker than it should. Detail can also be built up in layers, giving a depth that plastic alone will not offer. The exact contents of the package are given on the packaging of the set.
The most valuable tool with photo-etched parts is a bending tool, but two razor blades and a steel ruler will serve. Hard sheet is worth annealing briefly over a flame before forming and letting it cool, as the material then gives and does not crack in the fold. Cut on glass or on a hard surface, as parts like to ping away, so work over a tray. It is bonded with super glue applied as a drop on a needle, never straight from the tube. Painting comes only after degreasing and a coat of primer.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and it is not a model kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
