Quickboost 1:72 A6M5 Zero gun barrels and pitot tube is a resin set that replaces the soft plastic barrels and the airspeed sensor on the model of the Japanese carrier-based Zero fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The resin set from the Quickboost brand of the Czech maker Aires brings finely cast barrels for the carrier fighter's weapons and a pitot tube for the model of the Japanese carrier-based Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detailing accessory for more experienced modelers, which replaces the coarser and easily damaged plastic parts with a sharper and more accurate casting.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a Japanese carrier-based fighter of the Second World War with a Nakajima Sakae radial engine and a famous long range. The A6M5 version was among the most widely produced combat variants. The armament was a combination of cannons in the wings and machine guns; their barrels protrude on a model and are easy to see.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove mold release agent residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the cut faces with respiratory protection. Glue the barrels and the thin pitot tube with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) only at the end of the build, so that they do not break off, and take care over their alignment. Try the fit dry before varnishing.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
