The AAVP-7A1 is one of those types that are hard to mistake for anything else. This tracked vehicle of the US Marine Corps drives straight from a landing ship into the water, swims through the surf zone and on the shore keeps going on land with an infantry squad inside. Being amphibious forced on it a shape that an ordinary carrier does not have: a tall box-shaped hull of great volume, which gives the vehicle buoyancy on the water and on land lends it an unmistakable angular silhouette.
The model captures the vehicle with the EAAK add-on armor kit. The add-on panels are attached to the outside of the hull and increase resistance to small arms rounds and to fragments. On the silhouette it can be told at a glance: the smooth sides break up into a heavily divided surface of individual pieces.
The vehicle is in 1:72 scale, that is at a size at which a whole column can be put on one shelf. The model does not have to be assembled or painted; once unpacked you only have to place it in a display case. Take it by the hull, not by the external parts, and remove the dust with a soft brush; a cloth catches on the protruding parts and can loosen them.
A display case and diorama accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
