AGM-65E/F/G/H Maverick missiles in 1:72 scale are, according to the name, four pieces of tactical air-to-ground ordnance for an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of external stores from AMMO of Mig Jimenez covering several versions of the well known missile. The name speaks of four pieces; the aircraft is not included. It pays off above all where a model is to carry a full load under both wings and where four coarsely shaped parts from the box would knock the overall impression down.
The Maverick came about to destroy point targets, that is vehicles, fortifications and vessels, without the aircraft having to fly directly over the target. The individual letters in the designation distinguish the method of guidance and the warhead: the E version was guided by a reflected laser beam, which suited direct support of ground units; the F and G versions used imaging infrared seekers and a heavier warhead suitable even against hardened targets; and the H version was given an improved television sensor for better work in reduced visibility. That is exactly why the family stayed in service for decades.
Build the missiles one at a time, not all at once, so that the shapes and the bands do not run together on you. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise the shade will not take on the smooth surface. The seeker at the nose tends to be dark and glossy, so it benefits from being painted separately and given a final gloss highlight. Before gluing them to the pylon, check that all four pieces point the same way, because asymmetry shows immediately on finished work.
The ordnance comes without paints, and neither glue nor the aircraft belongs with it.
