An accessory set in 1:72 scale with the AGM-88 anti-radiation missile for models of combat aircraft. Intended to complete a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AGM-88 is an American anti-radiation missile that takes emitting air-defense radars as its target. It navigates on their own transmissions, so the radar operator chooses between switching off and being hit. The missile became standard armament on aircraft intended for the suppression of ground air defenses and it is carried by a whole range of Western-built machines.
Accessory parts of the AGM-88 missile in 1:72 scale for models of combat aircraft. The exact number of pieces, the breakdown of the parts and whether a pylon is included is given in the manufacturer's instructions. The set handles one place on the model, so it goes well together with other accessories and with your own work on the kit.
The parts are not polystyrene, so they are bonded with super glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest, so that the attachment seats straight and the missile hangs level under the wing. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Choose the shade and the placement of the colored bands according to the instructions and to photographs of the machine you are building; apply them thinly so that the fine shapes stay visible.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
