Eduard 1:72 AIM-9B Sidewinder is a resin (BRASSIN) set of short-range guided missiles for completing the armament of aircraft models. It is a detail accessory, not a stand-alone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Czech maker Eduard brings faithfully rendered AIM-9B Sidewinder short-range air-to-air guided missiles in 1:72 scale. The package contains several missiles and usually also photo-etched detail for the fins. It is not an aircraft model but an armament accessory for an aircraft kit.
The AIM-9 Sidewinder is an American short-range air-to-air guided missile with infrared homing. The AIM-9B version was the first variant fielded in series in the late 1950s and became the starting point for the whole family of these missiles. It was carried by a number of Cold War fighters.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Shape the thin fins carefully so the missiles seat properly on the pylons. Apply the paint with an airbrush and put the decals on a gloss surface.
The accessory is meant for finishing a plastic kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
