The Roden Albatros D.III Oeffag s.153 (early) plastic kit in 1:72 scale represents the early production batch of the Austro-Hungarian license-built version of the Albatros fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the Ukrainian company Roden captures the Austro-Hungarian license-built version of the Albatros D.III from the manufacturer Oeffag, specifically the early series 153, in 1:72 scale. The set is meant to be glued and painted and holds decals for period color schemes.
The Oeffag company built the Albatros D.III under license for the Austro-Hungarian air service. The series 153 used a more powerful Austro-Daimler engine of around 200 horsepower. Apart from the stronger engine the early machines of the series 153 were practically identical to the previous series 53 and carried a propeller spinner.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, clean them up and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. We recommend a primer and an airbrush. For a convincing look, pay attention to the bracing wires and to the correct shape of the nose section with the spinner.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
